Wine Glass
I'm sure the greedy prince, when eying his empty glass of wine, wondered what it would taste like if he could drink it again. Promptly, he would get his servant to grab another, would let the glass go just like the rest of his dirty dishes -- off to get cleaned.
He may or may not have dropped one, the poor, lowly scullion. It might have broken. But the houseboy washed it anyways, putting it in with the other, perfect tableware. It looked good, but it had minuscule, unseeable cracks and imperfections.
So when the prince drank from it again, the wine poured out the holes and stained his clothes.
